School App for Parents increases parental engagement and saves time and money. Over 500 schools use the app to communicate their calendar, news and information with unlimited messaging to individuals and groups — annual subscription from £420 pa, including training and implementation.
School App for Parents is available on iOS and Android app stores. The app contains the school calendar (which can be automatically fed by an iCal feed from a Google or Outlook calendar). Events can be all day, timed, spanned and repeated. All the school news can be included manually or automated using an RSS news feed. Twitter accounts can also be included in the news feed. It is possible to send an alert notification for a new news item. In addition, there is an information section for important static information, e.g. policies/links to payment sites. Messaging is unlimited and can be sent to individuals and groups. Links, documents and videos can be included in the messages. Administration of the app is via a browser-based secure website and is simple to use (over 5000 people have been trained. Training is included in the fee, as are launch materials - A5 leaflets to hand out to your parents and carers, and a sizeable outdoor banner is provided with cable ties. Full customer support is also available during business hours.
